About Us

A family tradition originating in 1927, Anderson’s Orchard has grown from a small roadside market to the most beautiful 40 acre family attraction spot in Porter County, Indiana.

In 1954, Bill Anderson expanded the family business to its present location with a goal of planting 1000 apple trees each year until the highest ridge in Porter County abounded with apples.

As we approach our 50th anniversary, it is time we look forward to the New Millennium with upgrades and expansion. The orchard is being renovated and is now primarily a vineyard. In the future, we will not only have apples, but also plums, pears and grapes. We currently grow some of own vegetables. New additions include bedding plants and greenhouses, the Bakery, the Gift Shop and crafts by local artists. In the fall we have an Animal Farm for the whole family to enjoy.

Allow us to be a part of your true country experience. We have something for everyone!

Our vineyard has been through much upgrading and expansion this past year. We are proud to say that we have the largest table grape planting in the state of Indiana, and our new grape wines are all made from locally grown right here on the premises.

Table grapes are normally available around the 2nd week in August. We carry bedding plants, which are available in mid-April. Come in and visit our Bakery (seasonal) and browse our Gift Shop featuring unique wine related items as well as crafts by local artists.

And what better way to compliment your day in the country than tasting some wine at Porter County’s first winery, established in 1994. We have a great variety of wines for every palate. Free Tasting daily!
