Winetastings are events that we love hosting here at the Andersons Vineyard. There’s something about pairing expert knowledge and advice of the history of both our vineyard and wine itself with taking people on a journey of exploration through the different kinds of wine available that is truly magical.
Whether you’re an experienced wine connoisseur or someone who can barely tell your red from your white, these events are certainly one for you. Attending a wine tasting event always promises to be an incredible evening of both education and good fun – we know you that you wouldn’t like to feel like you’ve been lectured at all evening which is why we take great care to ensure a good balance of education and the more fun aspects of the tasting.
Working with one of our master wine sommeliers, you’ll be taken through a journey of exploration starting with the history of the grape itself, through to the local geography, the history of our grape varietals and of the vineyard itself. Finally, you’ll be brought through from the planting of the grape all the way up to the harvest and wine making process – so you’ll know exactly how the wine went from the inception of the grape species to the beautiful drink you’re gently sipping.
Every time we create a new wine we take care to document the full history of the vintage so that our wine tasting experts can easily recount the important information during our tasting events.
Whether you prefer reds or whites, we’ve got the event for you. Although we welcome and love wine in all it’s various forms, we completely understand that every kind of wine isn’t for everyone, and we always do our best to cater to our guests every needs.
If you’re joining a larger tasting event you’ll be pleased to find that we offer red tastings, white tastings, and mixed tastings. In special occasions we’ll also offer sparkling-only tastings, but these are more rare and only held a few times per year.
For larger groups, we’re always happy to organize a bespoke wine tasting to fit your exact required specifications. Great either as a corporate event, a bachelor or bachelorette party or even just a special birthday – you’ll always find us happy to build out an event that you and your guests will love and enjoy.
Bespoke wine tastings also carry the possibility of organized catering for a truly special night featuring food and wine pairings, or just a little refreshment to keep you powered on and drinking throughout the evening.
If you’d prefer to host your own event, we’re also happy to provide wines to fit your budget and requirements, and we’d recommend the FineWineMaster guide for “An Idiot’s Guide to Wine Tasting” to get you started with how best to organize and host an event. We’re also always more than happy to help pitch in on the organization if you’d prefer – or let you control all aspects of the event and just let us handle the wine!
For large events such as corporate functions or weddings, we’re also happy to provide our bespoke event hosting service. For this service, you’ll be assigned one of our local fine wine experts who will help you organize every aspect of your event from budget and catering to wine selection and on-site support to help ensure that your guests have the amazing experience that they deserve.
If you’re looking for something to really make your event special, we’d hugely recommend our bespoke event hosting, and are happy to provide references from other successful events and clients if you’d prefer to see yourself what kind of events we can organize.
It is worth noting that our bespoke events do carry a higher price tag than a typical wine tasting event, which is only to be expected of an entirely bespoke service. This being said, we also have a lot of capability to work within your budget, so don’t assume that just because you’re hosting a bespoke wine event that you’ll be forced to pay hugely out of pocket.
We can always try to accommodate any means, so if you’d like to discuss this please reach out.
If you have any further questions and queries then please don’t hesitate to reach out and contact us. We pride ourselves on our high level of customer service and support and are always happy to talk about wine – so just drop us a call and let us know and we’ll be more than happy to walk you through everything you’re unsure about.
